CAT7 LAN cable (Category 7) is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for shielded twisted-pair (STP) connections. It supports data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps at frequencies of 600 MHz over 100 meters (328 feet). CAT7 cables feature individual shielding for each pair and overall shielding, providing superior protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI).
These cables are ideal for high-speed networks, including data centers and enterprise environments, where maximum signal integrity and speed are required. While compatible with RJ-45 connectors, CAT7 is typically used with GG45 or TERA connectors for optimal performance.
