Structure and Features

1. Optical Fibers:
   • 200μm or 250μm fibers, available in single-mode or multimode configurations.
   • Positioned within a loose tube made of high-modulus plastic.
2. Loose Tube:
   • The tubes are filled with a water-resistant compound to prevent water ingress and protect the fibers from environmental factors.
3. Strength Member:
   • A central steel wire acts as the metallic strength member, providing tensile strength for aerial installations.
4. Water Blocking:
   • The loose tube and its fillers are treated with a water-blocking compound to enhance moisture resistance, ensuring the cable remains watertight over time.
5. Messenger Wire:
   • The unique Figure 8 design integrates a galvanized steel messenger wire, which acts as the supporting member for the cable in aerial applications. This structure eliminates the need for additional hardware, simplifying installation.
6. Sheath:
   • The cable is completed with a polyethylene (PE) sheath, offering UV resistance and protection against weathering, ensuring long-term outdoor use.
