GYTA53 cable is a durable outdoor optical fiber cable designed for direct burial and harsh environmental conditions, providing excellent protection against mechanical stress and water ingress.

Structure and Features

1. Optical Fibers:
   • 200μm or 250μm fibers housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic.
   • Available in single-mode and multimode configurations.
2. Loose Tubes:
   • Filled with a water-resistant filling compound for fiber protection and stability.
3. Strength Member:
   • A central steel wire, sometimes coated with polyethylene (PE) for high fiber count designs, serves as the core strength member.
4. Cable Core:
   • Loose tubes and fillers are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular core.
   • The core is filled with a water-blocking compound to prevent water penetration.
5. Sheath and Armoring:
   • An inner PE sheath surrounds the core for additional protection.
   • Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) is longitudinally applied for water resistance.
   • A corrugated steel armor layer is added for enhanced mechanical protection.
   • The cable is finished with an outer PE sheath for environmental resistance.
